About Hoosier Elected Officials

Hoosier Elected Officials helps Hoosiers find who represents them and what those officials do in office. It is independent and nonpartisan.

Where the data comes from

• State legislators: Open States, a public-domain dataset built from the Indiana General Assembly's official records.
• Bills and votes: Open States, which compiles the Indiana General Assembly's official roll-call votes. Bill digests are the legislature's own. The official record at iga.in.gov controls if anything differs.
• Members of Congress: the public-domain congress-legislators project.
• Address lookup: the U.S. Census Bureau Geocoder, which matches an address to current congressional and state legislative districts.

Data was last refreshed on 2026-10-12. It's checked against sources automatically every night.

What we don't do

• We don't endorse candidates or parties.
• We don't store the addresses you look up.
• We aren't an official election source. For voter registration, polling places, and ballots, use the Indiana Voter Portal.
